Chefs rely on Spiceology for our unmatched selection of over 300 ingredients and our grind fresh, deliver fresh philosophy. Our Home Cooks and BBQ enthusiasts love Spiceology’s innovative rubs and blends to help them experiment with flavor™ and elevate their favorites recipes and everyday home cooked meals. While opinions may differ, most can agree that Maui Wowee, Purple Haze and the spice that started it all, Smoky Honey Habanero are a great place to start.

Which seasoning container size is right for me?

Spiceology offers a variety of container sizes to help you experiment with flavor. The right fit for you depends on your cooking needs, your frequency of use and the serving size.

For cooking at home and pantry staples, we suggest starting with “home cook” sizes like the PET (mini), Glass Jars (small) and PCM (medium), which contain between 2oz up to 10oz and are ideal for smaller portions, family meals or taking new flavors for a taste drive. These sizes work great for the weekend grilling warrior and an afternoon spent BBQ’ing meat or veggies.

For the rubs and blends that you just can’t do without, we suggest grabbing a larger size, like our PCM (medium) or PC1 (large) container. These are best for family meals on heavy rotation and larger recipes.

For professional Chefs and restaurants, PC1 (large) and PC5 (extra large) sizes are the most cost-effective containers for fresh cut ingredients, spices and blends. These sizes range from 18oz up to 80oz and proudly display our Periodic Table of Flavor, making them the best pick for larger batches and everyday use.

What is the best way to store my Spiceology spices, meat rubs and blends?

Got a pantry full of our flavorful spices and want to make the flavor last? No problem. Be sure to store your dried spices and blends in a cool, dry place, removed from direct sunlight. We recommend that you keep them away from the heat of a stove or vent, as this will cause the flavors to fade over time. Most importantly, be sure to keep the containers tightly sealed when not in use.

Why isn’t my container look filled to the very top?

Great question. The short answer: fill weight.

Now here’s the long(er) answer: our spices and blends are ground fresh, packed fresh and filled according to weight by an automated machine rather than a human-ran fill line. Some ingredients weigh more than others; for example a fruit powder typically weighs less than whole juniper berries and each would take up a different amount of space in the bottle. We guarantee each bottle contains the correct weight stated on the label.

Also, fill weights can vary due to the density and moisture content of each blend, which can cause some products to appear less “full” in the bottle than others. Your spices may have settled during shipping, and we recommend giving the bottles a good shake when you first receive them to bring the ingredients back to their original fill level.

What is a spice?

Some of our rubs and blends include “spices” in the ingredient lists and you may be wondering what the heck that means. The term spice has a broad meaning, but mostly consists of any aromatic vegetable substance in a ground form that is added to our blends for flavor, not nutrition.

Examples of popular spices include Allspice, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Tarragon and many others. To tell you any more might be sharing our secret sauce… or, secret spice, but if you have additional questions, please contact [email protected] for more information.

How long do spices last?

We’ve found that spices, rubs and blends have a shelf life of about four years, depending on the ingredients and consistency. This includes whole spices, ground spices and dried ingredients like herbs and chiles.

I’d like to resell your product. Do you offer private label services?
